about

"Mahalo" is an instrumental anthem, born out of the waves of MOSSOM'S improvisational writing undertow. This fast moving, high energy, rip curl of a single is already a crowd favorite at the duo's live performances.

A sky high totem, the song draws inspiration from surf rock icon Dick Dale, the playful instrumentals of prog heavyweights Rush, and percussive influences of the Police. It's MOSSOM's thank you and call to arms – all in one tenacious track.

According to Wikipedia, "Mahalo" is a Hawaiian word meaning thanks, gratitude, admiration, praise, esteem, regards, or respects. According to the Pukui and Elbert Hawaiian Dictionary, it is derived from the Proto-Polynesian *masalo.
